The description on the card is in German: "Mein geliebter Mann, unser guter Bruder, Onkel und Schwager ist in den Frieden Gottes eingegangen. Selig sind, die reinen Herzens sind; denn sie werden Gott schauen. (Matth 5, 8) In tiefer Trauer: Dr. Renate Buhler, ELisabeth Banzhaff, Annemarie und Dr. Volker Riedel mit Familie, Dr. Wolfgang und Ursula Kienzerle mit Familie und alle Verwandten. Beerdigung am Freitag, dem 15. Mai 1992, um 10.30 Uhr auf dem Totenbergfriedhof."

Translation: My beloved husband, our good brother, uncle and brother-in-law has entered the peace of God. Blessed are the pure in heart; for they will see God. (Matth. 5, 8) In deep sorrow: Dr. Renate Buhler, Elisabeth Banzhaff, Annemarie and Dr. Volker Riedel with family, Dr. Wolfgang and Ursula Kienzerle with family and all relatives. Burial on Friday, May 15, 1992 at 10:30 a.m. at Totenbergfriedhof.
