The first sldies from the 50s have descriptions on them, which are written in German: "Wir...abfeng in New York 9. Mai 54," "Uberfahrt auf der Fahre," "Kokospalmen," and one that is difficult to make out the spelling.

Translations: "We...depart in New York May 9, 1954," "Crossing on the ferry," and "Coconut trees."
