Envelope containing a Piece of Wood

 Item — Box: 2, Object: 3

Abstract

On the cover of the envelope, there is a note from Eleanor Hutchens, saying: "I think this is a chip saved from the old water oak at the front gate when it had to be taken down. From the front porch it looked like a huge fan. Mimi said it was one of the original forest trees."
