Abstract
In 1970, Dr. Stuhlinger, then associate deiector for science at MSFC, received a letter from Sister Mary Jucunda in Zanbia asking how he can suggest the expenditure of billions of dollars for a voyage to Mars at a time when many children on this Earth are starving to death. This is his answer, reproduced for distribution by the National Space Club.
